Saturday 8th February at our Charlemont centre was the end of an era for Finners. It was his last ever day at GDS.
Finners has been with GDS for 11 years and he is now moving on, doing his A-Levels and then moving on to University.
Finners was a tiny young lad when he started at GDS extremely quiet and shy and couldn’t catch a ball to save his life. But over the months and the years he grew up with the GDS family and became an outstanding young Goalkeeper and a very responsible young man.
Finners has a great personality and his banter will be missed on a Saturday morning. He had a short break from GDS during his 11 years and when he returned at the age of 14 he came back wearing one of his previous Tshirts (age 8) which he trained in for at least another year until he bought a new one. Not sure how he ever got that on and off!
For the last 4 years Finners has won the Grand National much to Dave’s disappointment. He is extremely rapid even with Zebra on his back! It looks like Dave will have a chance of winning this year now!
On Saturday it was Finners Day to honour his long service. He did all the demos for the big group and had his photo taken with the medal winners.
Everyone at GDS wishes Finners all the best for the future he will be missed.
