We are very pleased to announce that Goalkeeper of the month for June/July 2026 is Solid
Solid has been a Keeper with us at our Monday night Centre for almost 12 months. He joined along with his younger brother and from the very begininng his nickname came easily when it was identified that his handling was so solid!
Solid has always been an impeccably polite and respectful young man, always keen to help, listens to everything and tries his utmost to put the advice he is given into practice. Solid is also very “switched on” when it comes to understanding drills and is eager to help others who may sometimes struggle.
Solid’s goalkeeping ability has improved with pace during the short time he has attended GDS, and this it down to the continous attendance and the absolute focus and effort he has put in during sessions. Over the last couple of months in particular Solid has been used in demos, been voted up numerous times for keeper of the day and shown some outstanding technique and consistently excellent shotstopping when he has been in goal during matches.
For this and the fact that he is an absolute pleasure to coach Solid has totally deserved this award.
