2016………WOW what a year!
2016 has been an incredible year for GDS. As Head Coach Dave has mentioned in the last few sessions not only did we conduct 152 outstanding Goalkeeping sessions with the assistance with all of our fantastic coaching team but we also worked so hard as a team to achieve many other things.
Below is a review of how far we have come in 2016:
January
- Sourcing of products for the club shop
- Building of the club shop website
- Building of the main website
- Looking for new venues
February
- Launch of the GDS online club shop enabling customers to purchase kit online CLICK HERE to access
- New Venue opened for the winter at Portway Lifestyle Centre
- New Venue opened for Saturday morning training at Charlemont in partnership with Bustleholme FC
March
- Launch of our brand new web site www.goalkeeperdevelopment.co.uk
- Easyfundraising scheme set up for GDS to assist in raising funding for the club
- Goalkeeping gloves now kept in stock for purchase online
- New product line launched – GDS waterproof jackets
April
- New venue for the summer opened at Ormiston Sandwell Academy
- Launch of the GDS Multi-Centre Loyalty card scheme
- GDS on Tour Launched
- Beginning of new Goalkeeper Coaching Courses
- Full stockholding of T-Shirts/Sweatshirts to sell online
- Online testimonials launched on the website – people able to submit online
May
- Partnership with Crazy Catch formed
- Further sponsorship work going on in the background
June
- New product line – Crazy Catch Wild Child
- Crazy Catch promotion session
- Preparation and planning for Lilleshall
July
- Open day and annual awards at Lilleshall National Centre
- 8 New qualified GDS Goalkeeping Coaches
- GDS Prediction sheet introduced to raise funding for winter pitches
August
- Main holiday period
September
- Move back to winter venues – planning and preparation with fees and numbers
October
- Additional product ranges added for Christmas period – boot bag/hat/towel with multibuy offer

- Additional product ranges being investigated following requests

In addition to all of the above we have 8900 photographs edited and published in total of Keepers doing what they love – training with GDS.
A big big thank you to everyone who has been involved and helped us go from strength to strength this year. We have more great plans for 2017 and really look forward to starting the New Year.
