Another great week of training was had at all of our centres this week. Numbers have been up and a lot of new Keepers have joined us.
ELLOWES HALL: One v Ones
The session topic at Ellowes this week was focussed on one v ones. It’s key to ensure that the technique is correct and it is practiced well in training so it comes naturally in a match situation. All Keepers worked very hard throughout.
We have a couple of spaces left for the Friday night session now we have expanded over two pitches so if anybody is interested inbox Dave or Caz or contact us through the website – CLICK HERE
CHARLEMONT PLAYING FIELDS: Bulgarian Drills
Anyone who has been with GDS a while knows that Bulgarian Drills is a lot of hard work using bodies instead of kit. So no cones, no poles no rebounders…..just Keepers, balls and 100% effort!
This is a great session and a lot of trust is involved with each other at certain points so the concentration levels have to remain high throughout.

PORTWAY LIFESTYLE CENTRE: GDS Quadrant
Tuesday was the second night at back at our new venue Portway Lifestyle Centre. Click here for more details if you wish to join us.
The session was GDS Quadrant. There were four sessions in one. Four groups were set up with a coach each focussing on footwork and handling, shot stopping and one v ones.
Again we had a number of new Keepers so a big welcome to all those who attended. Looking forward to seeing you all again next week
Photos from this session will be available on Flickr shortly.
Thanks as usual to all of the GDS Coaches and Senior Keepers that have helped us over these sessions – you have all been brilliant we couldn’t do this without you. Thanks again to the parents that have helped with the kit and those that support us week in week out.
KEEPERS OF THE DAY/NIGHT:
ELLOWES HALL: Leo
CHARLEMONT: Scorpion
ORMISTON: Ravi
Congratulations to all – photos seen with Head Coach Dave and GDS Coach Beth
