We are extremely pleased to announce that Goalkeeper of the month for December 2022 is Snorkel
Snorkel started training at GDS on a Friday night approximately 4 years ago at our Ellowes Hall Centre. He transferred firstly over to Dormston and then over to where we are now at Gospel Oak
When Snorkel first joined us he was a small, quiet and very shy young lad. His goalkeeping skills were raw and his technique needed a lot of work, but during each and every session he would listen well to every coaching point given to him and take them on board to improve his game.
Snorkel has always been a very helpful young Keeper with a very positive attitude, putting 100% effort into every drill in every session. He would often help others and he made friends easily.
Throughout the time Snorkel has trained with GDS his improvements in shot-stopping, general technique, presence and bravery have become apparent over the months and years, and in particular over the last few months. Snorkel has excelled in the drills, he is very strong and it is extremely hard to score past him. He is very often chosen by his coaches to be in the final for the day and it is very well deserved too.
Overall Snorkel is a pleasure to coach and will continue to excel. He is an excellent young Goalkeeper and very deserving of Goalkeeper of the month for December.
