We were very pleased to announce at Ellowes Hall that Goalkeeper of the Month for May 2017 is Katy
Katy has been with GDS now for a few months and trains primarily at our Ellowes Hall Centre but also at Charlemont when she can. When Katy joined she already had great technique for an 8 year old but during the time she has been with us she has improved immensely.
Katy never lapses in concentration in sessions, her effort and performance is always outstanding and she is just hungry to learn all of the time. Any coaching points she takes on board immediately and implements them and she has even gone to watch a match of an older more experienced GDS player and has taken notes. She shows so much commitment and passion.
Ever since joining GDS she has consistently been picked out by different GDS coaches for Keeper of the night and has won the award more than once.
The difference during the month of May is that Katy has also won girl of the match for both of her teams multiple times, saved a penalty for them and has won supporters player of the season.
