Ormiston Academy 10 Week Spring Course – Save £10 by paying online

ORMISTON ACADEMY 10 Week COURSE Starting 4th APRIL

Due to the success of our first 10 week course at Portway Lifestyle Centre we have decided to run another 10 week course starting on Monday 4th April 2016

We are also pleased to confirm that we have booked a new venue with private grass pitches which will give us an additional hour to enable us to fit further valuable training into each session. So the sessions will now begin at 18:30 and end at 20:30.

The venue is very close to Portway and is at Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy (OSCA)

The course will start on the 4^th April at 18:30 – 20:30 address details below

13, Lower City Road, Oldbury, B69 2HA 

The course will consist of the following:

• Shot-stopping
• Footwork and handling
• Reaction and improvisation drills
• Ones v one’s
• Distribution
• Aerial work
• Ground work
• Starting the attack

We will be using the additional time in the structured sessions to cover

• Goalkeeper’s communication with defenders
• Decision making
• Start positions
• Set plays including corners and free kicks

In addition to the above a Keeper of the Month Trophy will be awarded across all three centre’s and there will also be a Goalie Wars Tournament in the last session.

• SENIOR KEEPER DEMOS

• PEER INTERACTION
• ACCESS TO ALL GDS SOCIAL MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY

Our preference is that members prepay for the course prior to the course starting to enable us to cover our costs for the additional training time booked.

Younger keepers will be able to leave at 20:00 if they wish as there will be a natural break in the session at that point.

As an incentive to do this we have an online offer with a saving of £10 over the 10 weeks.
