Keeper of the month December - Billy

Footwork, Handling & Shot-Stopping at Ellowes

We were extremely fortunate this evening in that the heavy rain stayed away whilst our training commenced 🙂

The session topic was footwork and handling followed by a shot-stopping session. There were mainly groups of four most of the night and younger and older groups for the shot-stopping. There were some very good performances tonight during the shot-stopping so well done to all Keepers. A selection are shown below:

We had another new face join us tonight – Jazzhands – a big welcome from all at GDS – hope to see you again next week.

Thanks to Coaches Mark, Jack and Pete for their assistance and also to the Senior Keepers for their help and demos.

Sugar was voted as Keeper of the night. It was Sugar’s first night at Ellowes Hall but he also attended on Saturday at Charlemont also winning Keeper of the day there too! Big congratulations to Sugar. Photo seen with Head Coach Dave.

As announced by Dave, GDS are having a big open day and awards day at Lilleshalle (Ground where England formally trained) on Sunday 17th July. If you wish to attend this please keep this day free in your diaries. More details will follow on the website and social media shortly.
