We are very pleased to announce that Goalkeeper of the month for March 2022 is Conehead.
Conehead started with us around 3 years ago on a Saturday morning. He was a young shy boy who arrived very early, so we asked him to help set out some cones. Very helpfully he ran and stole some cones from somebody elses pitch who was setting up for their football match next to us and lay them out on our pitch!! There became Conehead!!
Conehead was a fairly un-cordinated and raw young Keeper when he joined GDS. He very quickly began to pick up the technique as he listened intently to the sessions and worked hard in the drills.
He moved up from group to group and became bigger and stronger. Coneheads shot-stopping for such a young lad was outstanding and his all round game became exceptionally good very quickly.
Conehead is now and has been for a while an A-lister and has progressed very quickly for his age. He is big, tall and strong and his technique is excellent.
Conehead still arrives very early, he helps with the kit, his attitude is always first class. He is a great role model for younger Keepers and for GDS. He very very rarely misses a session.
Conehead very much deserves Keeper of the month for March. Congratulations – keep up the fantastic work.
