We are very pleased to announce that Goalkeeper of the month for June 2023 is Rashford
Rashford has been training at the Charlemont Centre for just over 12 months. He is one of the most polite, caring and hard-working young Keepers we have at GDS. This became evident immediately when every session he made himself responsible for ensuring the coach constantly had enough balls during drills, always volunteering for positions that others may not want to fill, and basically putting others first in his team.
His Goalkeeping/football skills were very basic when he joined GDS but as the months have gone on he has very quickly picked up the drills, learnt how to dive properly, taken on board technical coaching points and month on month the improvement has been evident.
Just recently Rashford has been displaying some outstanding shot-stopping, his speed across the line and handling is excellent and in general he has become not only a very good young Goalkeeper but also a very good outfield player too.
Rashford is more often than not voted up by one of the coaches and is an absolute pleasure to coach. This award is very well deserved.
Well done Rashford keep up the excellent work young man!
